Do you have a home party business? Well if you do you know how it goes trying to get parties after all your friends have had one. Well I have a little suggestion for getting leads and a few sales too. I have been networking at local and surrounding farmers markets; I purchase a table and set out my display. People are there to see what other locals have to offer so you are not bothering or soliciting to them. Some tricks that I have learned from my experiences are to always smile, greet each person as they glance at your table or booth. If they are looking they are interested, they want to know what you are offering, who are you representing, and who you are. Try to answer these three questions with every encounter. Do a door prize; you don’t have to draw at each market set a time limit maybe after 3-4 markets do the draw for a small item or gift certificate. Make sure your draw slips have this very important: Name, Phone number, city, email address, “Are you interested in a PARTY?”, “Are you interested in earning extra money for your family?”, “Were all your questions answered?” This way you may get potential leads from just a draw ship and you are not being pushy with your business. Don’t leave the ball in the leads court; take action, wait a week or so and call each of the people that said they wanted a party or wanted to learn more about your business and tell them they won and at their party they will receive “what ever your prize was.” This way you know you are getting a party and not just giving away product. Call every yes for sure and follow up with the potential lead, do a draw for all the other slips and you will make someone very happy and you may turn that no into a yes.
Networking can happen any where so just make sure you always carry some information for any potential lead. Think of everyone you meet on every outing as a potential lead, people don’t walk around looking for home parties so offer the opportunity; the worst they may say is no, but the best they can say is yes or even an exchange of information is great too because they will share with their friends and family.
Share your networking tricks and see what other are doing.

Back to Basics Wooden Toys we sell
I really agree with the posted article “Children's Toys - The Educational Benefits Of Wooden Toys” by Robert Thomson that the wooden toys of yester year are really coming back as parents realize the learning benefit for their children. My daughter loves her blocks and wood puzzles it as if she gives each piece its own identity, job, task in her pretend play. A lot of the great toys Kidsmart has chosen are wooden and many are eco friendly as well.
Green Wooden Blocks by Plan Toys (T-PTWB)
In the hands of your imaginative child, Plan Toys 50 wooden blocks, are quickly transformed into skyscrapers and bridges, cathedrals and barns. This set contains 36 natural and 14 multicolored blocks. All constructed of wood. Great block set for the value. The timber used is plantation rubber wood, which is recovered from old rubber trees after they no longer generate latex and are due for burning. They process and kiln-dry the timber, in a chemical-free environment; no wood preservatives are used whatsoever. The paint which they use to varnish Plan Toys products is non-toxic water-based paint which has been found to be safe for children and non-polluting in natural water sources. They also use natural latex glue to do the joining work on their toys. This is truly a green company!
Skwish Toy - Undyed by Manhattan Toy (T-MTSU)
Babies LOVE Skwish! Recipient of Parenting Magazines Toy Hall of Fame!
Skwishes flat and then bounces back! This and bouncy contraption is a great toy for babies as well as a wonderful stress reliever for adults. Although Skwish is based on a structural principle of nature called tensegrity, it is primarily designed to be fun and entertaining. Crafted from the finest North American hardwood. Size 6".
Construction Chunky Puzzles by Melissa & Doug (T-MDCN)
The thick, chunky wooden puzzle pieces fit neatly into their spots on the colorful board and can also stand up for additional pretend play. Full-color pictures beneath each piece!
Size: 12" x 9"

My choice product feature Days Ago Counter
There are so many great products out there that help parents with their children and. Products for bathing, feeding, infant carrying and all the accessories to go with them; I love items that make the daily tasks easier and more efficient especially. My Kidsmart choice item of the week is the “Days Ago” counter, as seen on Oprah – “Moms who made Millions” February 2007. This day counter sticks to smooth surfaces via magnet or suction and counts up to 99 days. Set it and this little gadget will count the days it has been since you packaged items for the fridge like leftovers, breast milk, baby food, and just about anything else. Other great uses suggested by moms like us; tracking the little things like how long a jug of milk lasts or when you last watered the plants and more.
This compact color coded tracker will even track the last time you did just about any thing; like when hubby says its been x-days since we did “it”, you can say “You think so hey? Well, it’s been Y-days since you bought me flowers…” Now that’s what I call a gadget with some ammo.
We sell these Day counters for $12 a pair and the batteries are included. Contact me if you are interested.

Being a Kidsmart Rep and a Parent
I am a wife and MOM of one beautiful 2 year old girl. I am proud of the time we spend together, it truly shows in the amount of knowledge she is retaining. I know all parents have said or heard it from others "my child is so smart," but I am not saying it. What I am saying is that she really is benefiting from all the choices my husband and I are making to ensure our daughter is getting the best childhood we can offer. I have chosen a job that allows me to take Elizabeth with me, driving a School Bus. It takes a special person to do this job and I hope I can be successful, but as far as making money year round I had to pick up something for the summer. I looked around and there really is a limited supply of jobs that allow you to take your children with you; but I found one that I really like. The company is Canadian and that is great for my family and our economy as well. Kidsmart is the name and we are a direct sales home based business that sells through home parties. It is so great I can network my business and package orders while my daughter is napping or in the evenings. I am able to bring her to the parties as the products are unique gifts for Moms and Children age 0-4, we allow the children and parents to try out and play with the items at the parties. The business is so flexible for us, we can even meet with Moms at the park and discuss orders / parties while the children play. There really is not pressure for us to sell and we don't have to pressure other to buy as the products sell themselves. Many of our items are award winning, Canadian made or designed, as well as all are Non-Toxic, lead and BPA free. We offer well known product brand names and some have even been promoted by Oprah and Canada AM.
